The brief

Drax is a UK-based flexible generation and energy solutions provider, with operations across the UK, North America and Japan. The brand was undergoing a major visual evolution, and I was asked to work with the brand management team to deliver a comprehensive rebrand project that spanned almost 18 months. This included the following:

  • Brand identity development and collateral design

  • Implementing a global brand management portal to house brand guidelines, assets and templates



My approach

Brand identity rollout and asset design

I led the creative direction and design team for the full length of the project, deploying a brand identity that was flexible and scalable for a business of this size. Due to the nature of the brand, care had to be taken to cater for various internal and external stakeholders, as well as international audiences and colleagues.

Global brand management portal

The management of newly-created brand assets is crucial when it comes to launching a new brand. I worked with the brand management team to set up and deploy an all-new brand management portal, as well as leading the design team to create a suite of assets, templates and a comprehensive photography library.
