Global value chain | Drax

Project summary

A complex illustrated nfographic to showcase Drax’s global value chain, including both owned sites and assets, as well as third-party supply chain components. The scope of this project included:

  • Overall concept and wireframe

  • Illustration and design of all assets

“There's a great reassurance that comes with working with a creative who understands that briefs aren't always straightforward, and that there's strategy and nuance at play.

Sneha embraces these trickier asks with aplomb - if you think you've got it all figured out, she'll hone your vision so it's sophisticated, polished and jumping with life. If you haven't a clue where to start, you'll have the privilege of seeing her work her magic and make something out of nothing.

She can take your wispy, unformed ideas and shape them into something real, and beautiful to boot.”

— Sarah M., Drax

This project was a complex one, and included a blend of both strategy and illustration. Visually representing the brand’s vast value chain was a complicated task, involving multiple stakeholders and plenty of detailed information.

I started off by outlining a wireframe, and choosing an illustration style. I decided to go with an isometric approach, as it worked with the non-linear format of the information being presented.

While this wasn’t meant to be a photo realistic representation, the locations shown in the diagram still had to bear resemblance to their real-world counterparts. I created all these assets from scratch, working with an extended version of the brand’s colour palette to bring the whole thing to line.
